MEET THE FOUNDERS

MEET KERRY. Informed and inspired by her lived experience with concussions, Kerry is on a mission to make "brain health cool". Having her mental health affected by her physical brain injury, Kerry came out inspired to expand the current conversation on mental health. By adding in the physiological element, making tools accessible and experiential, and building a community that supports your in-ward journey, Kerry believes this important work can be less lonely. Even, enjoyable. Outside of her work at Mind.On and as a business consultant, you can catch Kerry inhaling as much outdoor air as possible, be it on foot, snowboard, longboard, bike, or top-down in her 1990 Jeep Wrangler.

MEET REBECCA. Growing up in the world of hyper-competitive sports, Rebecca began to grapple with her brain health at a young age. The tools she developed there have served her well in her career in advertising and communication strategy. Early on in her professional life, Rebecca realized that young people weren’t receiving the support they needed to cope with stress and loneliness. She became determined to create a space to fill that gap. Rebecca firmly believes that by sharing experiences and learning about the physiology of our brains, we can help tackle those feelings together. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys taking photos on her film camera and finding the best spots to eat in the city.

MEET BRYSON. Born in Whitehorse, Yukon, Bryson’s interest in brain health began when he was introduced to the term “metacognition” (thinking about thinking) while studying at the University of Waterloo. Time spent exploring his own brain leads to a better understanding of the hardship others face when their minds turn against them. With a background in interdisciplinary collaboration, problem solving, and creative writing, Bryson believes we can work together to learn how to better care for our brains. Find Bryson creating (and drinking) cocktails and sharing them with his friends (preferably while enjoying the outdoors).
